We’re all in this stressful times together! Just…separately (and at least 2 metres apart, please).

At the moment, governments around the world are attempting to ‘flatten the curve’ of the coronavirus outbreak. This includes a global movement to #StayAtHome and minimize human contact, which causes us staying home in an attempt to reduce the spread of the virus. As a response to this, shops are closing. Flights are being cancelled left and right. Restaurants, cafes, and even airports are all starting to lock their doors. There’s only one thing we can really do: stay at home.

Whether you’re self-isolating, social distancing, working from home, or in actual quarantine, you might be wondering what on earth to do with all this time you’ve got at home. To help you stay sane, here are a few tips to help you make this time a productive one. Or, at least, just a little more entertaining.

1

Stretch Out Those Muscles!

Well, nobody basically can exactly hit the gym or yoga studio right now, but what you can do is find the perfect exercise class or fitness app online. The web is filled with plenty of inspirational fitness blogs and trainer videos, also full of fitness gurus who can show you some full-blown workouts or yoga poses.

2

Clean Up a Bit

It’s time to clean up! Since you’ve been busy for a while, now is a perfect time to deep clean your spaces, especially those bits that you always turn a blind eye to. That dusty corner behind your desk, the top of your wardrobe, underneath your bathroom sink, the individual shelves inside your fridge, every photo frame. This is also a great time to take on a bigger project, like decluttering.

3

Practice #selfcare at Home

You might be avoiding spas around this time, but home is just as good a place to give yourself a treatment. Put on a face mask, or maybe try Balinese Boreh a la Komaneka. Whatever makes you feel good right now, take time to do it.

4

Try Out Some Healthy Recipes

When you’re living through a pandemic, you might have no choice but to try your best to prepare your own meals. This way, you can also control the amounts of oil and salt in our food, and make your dishes healthier. You may not be a cooking master, but there’s a little thing called YouTube that might come in handy.

5
