Within the 21-year journey of Komaneka, many of our families come and go. Some found their home in Komaneka and even passed the second decade with us. As part of our second decade of Komaneka, we commemorate the stories our family has of our nurturing home. One of which is the story of Ayu Aridini. She is one of the families who worked the longest in Komaneka. She started as a cashier at Komaneka at Monkey Forest. Through numerous challenges and forgings, thanks to her diligence, she is now the Accounting Manager of Komaneka Resorts.

“Being a part of Komaneka is a blessing. It gives us home and family,” said Ayu Aridini when we asked her of how she truly feels about Komaneka. When she continued her story, we see love and sincerity. She said that Komaneka is like part of her life. In this place she grows and discovers her passion. As she always dreaming of becoming a career woman, she is so thankful that Komaneka give her the biggest chance and challenge to fully develop herself. Even though we know that she has been years with Komaneka, her eyes tells more of how deep she has felt for our resort.

Apart from her role as an accounting manager at Komaneka, she is a housewife too. We asked her if both of her identity makes her feels tired or stressed. She smiled and nodded.

“Being a working woman has always been my dream and as a Balinese woman, I also cannot leave my role as a housewife. As part of adat, of course there are many times when I have to choose between running Balinese traditional practice or working. Even so, I could not give up on my dream; all I can do is balance the two.”

We admire people with clear vision and focus, now Ayu Aridini is one of them. She always adheres to her vision that for success people must work sincerely and honestly. She is committed to maintaining the spirit of hard work of the team and everyone across the department to bring Komaneka to become bigger and stronger. She also hopes that Komaneka will develop in a better direction and can become a home for more people.
